PLEASE ...Roll your eyes at me! (It means you heard what I said!)

 Parenting

Parenting is hard.
Parenting is challenging.
Parenting often knocks us sideways.
Parenting needs a TEAM!
World of Writer Mom loves TEAM work.
Even though I am really an introvert.
I write way more than I talk sometimes.
But you are ALWAYS welcome here.
Please share this page.

I won't judge, preach, or get too sentimental. (Although my children will probably roll their eyes and laugh at that promise.)
I have been known to share stories, be sarcastic, and squirt an entire bottle of ketchup on my kitchen floor just to get my children's attention. (That's a story for another time.)

I do share affiliate links but that is no obligation to you at all. I love to see fabulous recommendations in my right side bar. I like to place promotions where they look great. If something happens to catch your eye, go ahead and take a look. Who knows....something may be interesting and helpful to you and your family.

I've ordered a couple of pura vida bracelets. They're more within my price range than the DREAM CLOUD mattress, but who knows....a good nights sleep is extremely enticing. It's worth saving up for that one. Everyone needs a soft place to land.

 So Parenting is hard.
I already said that.
But you don't have to feel alone!

NOBODY is perfect, no matter how things look.
Many of us drop a few "eff" words in moments of frustration.

You are not doomed to damage your family
if you're not 100% - 24/7 - 365 days a year "perfect".

I frequently tell my kids, "I'm a HUMAN mom, not an android."
So hang out here once in a while and ask me if I have a story for you to redirect that funk.

And I will ask the same when needed OK?

Thanks for reading, sharing, and commenting.

    1. Hi Neely! I do miss those sweet baby days before they mastered the art of the eye roll. It can be exasperating at times, but there are other great things about having them grow up. Getting them to help more is one of them. It also gets a little easier to travel when they can carry their own things. But yes, sweet baby days are a treasured memory. Wishing you the best! Thanks for taking time to read and comment.

    1. Lol. I've learned to let it go when I see the eye rolls. I've been know to throw a few eye rolls right back when they're not looking. It's cathartic. Thanks for taking time to read and comment. It makes my day when I can share these thoughts. Wishing you the best!

    1. Christina, Thanks for reading and commenting! I had to put that in about the eff bomb. I never thought I'd be the mom who cursed at all. Then I gave birth to three very challenging individuals. (I should have known given that their dad is a bit of a bad ass himself.) But yup, it happens. I'm working on other things to say like, "Oh sugars plums and fairy dust," but it really doesn't feel the same, does it? Lol.

    1. Hi Katie! It's one of my favorites! This year I have committed to donate 100% of any commission I earn on this page to my child's school. Last year they developed a new program to increase scholarship availability and I hope to be a part of that when my affiliate marketing gets going. Pura Vida offers affordable jewelry perfect for summer, the beach, and travel. Thanks for taking time to comment and share!

About Me

My photo

I have over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Development Birth-Age 5 including work in classrooms and as an Infant/Toddler Program Manager.  I have several writing projects in progress including a resource book for parents of infants and infant room teachers in a full day child development (school) program.  The book will provide families with information about what to expect and how to monitor their child's progress in an Infant room.  My second book project involves how to cope with family challenges, lessons in forgiveness, dealing with a spouse's addiction, and reinventing yourself along the way.  I am excited about all of these projects and am currently accepting comments regarding experiences my readers have had placing their child into a full day child care program.  I would also like to hear from Infant room teachers.
