Reflections Beneath the Poetz Tree

Reflections Beneath the Poetz Tree (Parenting Observations, Insights, and Personal Inspirations)was first published in 2011 when I decided to attempt a blog.  I needed a place where my creativity could come alive and where I could share experiences in parenting my own three children.  Years of working in the career fields of Early Childhood Development, Social Work, and Community Outreach provided some pretty amazing skills and resources.  But no matter how much education or experience you obtain pre-parenthood, there are still plenty of challenges that occur.

This site includes articles about change, advocacy, reinventing one's self, relocating to new homes and new states, dealing with a spouse's addiction and its impact on the family, challenges of single parenting, faith, forgiveness, and the love of a family that can survive and even thrive despite the waves of turmoil that can beat against the sands of our sanity.

I will occasionally feature a previously published post and list it under featured writing. (As of September 2016 this site is still under construction.)

In the mean time, look at the bottom of this page for the site link where you are welcome to browse through past articles.  If you are interested in a specific topic related to parenting or wish to share your own "Parenting Observations, Insights, and Personal Inspirations"  please contact me at:  so we can connect.

It will be my pleasure to consider your submissions for publication in a future post for one of my blog sites.  I am currently only able to compensate you in the form of praise and publication, though I really wish it could be more. It is my hope that one day this will change as my audience increases. Your value as a parent is priceless.  So please join me in sharing "World of Writer Mom".

Recommendations do not imply liability, responsibility for disappointments or failed expectations, or regret over budgeting woes. I trust each reader to use their own good judgement when it comes to knowing what will work best for you and your family. About Me

My photo

I have over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Development Birth-Age 5 including work in classrooms and as an Infant/Toddler Program Manager.  I have several writing projects in progress including a resource book for parents of infants and infant room teachers in a full day child development (school) program.  The book will provide families with information about what to expect and how to monitor their child's progress in an Infant room.  My second book project involves how to cope with family challenges, lessons in forgiveness, dealing with a spouse's addiction, and reinventing yourself along the way.  I am excited about all of these projects and am currently accepting comments regarding experiences my readers have had placing their child into a full day child care program.  I would also like to hear from Infant room teachers.
